How To Adopt
Please understand the following is a general overview, and that each shelter will have it's own set of requirements and rules. This will, however, give you a general understanding of the process. At most websites, you can view the current dogs and cats available for adoption. You may also set up an appointment and visit in person. Understand that rules will vary - some may insist that you have a fenced in yard if you wish to adopt an outdoor animal, etc. ( Please think in terms of the best interest of the animal.) You will pay an 'adoption fee'. When you figure out the cost of spay/neuter, feeding, etc. which has already been done by the wonderful people running these organizations, you'll find you are indeed getting a deal ! Receive tons of love from your new pet, and the satisfaction of knowing that your decision really did make a difference in the world !
