These cats and dogs have nothing but love to give. All they ask for in return is a chance.

Unfortunately, most of these animals will never get this chance. Most shelters only keep animals for 5 days before destroying them.

Pet Rescue organizations attempt to rescue these animals from the shelters, usually get the animals their shots, and have them spayed/neutered. They then temporarily house them, or have them put into 'foster care' until a suitable family is found for them.

You can adopt a cat or dog from one of these organizations for a small fee, usually much less than their actual cost of caring for the animal.

Every time you adopt a cat or dog from one these organizations, you're actually saving TWO animals: First, you save the cat or dog you adopt. Secondly, your adoption opens up a 'space' for another animal to be saved.

Most of these people work for FREE - they get absolutely no grants or funding from federal, state, or local governments. In fact, it's safe to say that these fine volunteers virtually lose money on every animal they attempt to save.

You can help by donating money (often tax deductible).

You can help by donating time (animals in their care need grooming, walking, and attention). Think of all the animals you could help with only 30 minutes a week, and all the love you would receive from these animals in return!

You can help by donating playtoys, food bowls, pet food, used blankets, leashes, collars, etc.

You can help with transporting animals. (To the vet for checkups or shots, or even to their new owners when they are adopted).

You can help my making your friends and neighbors aware of the TRUTH about these animals, what these fine volunteers are doing, and what they can do to help.
